went over to lianne's place today.. i had wanted to revise for today's test again.. but i got stuck on cleopatra *grin* the game. anyhow the game was horrendous.. the cash my city had went from 4000db to abt -8000db. *laugh* show how good i am at finance. *laugh*

the test was horrible. i'm so glad i didn't waste more time studying for it... i mean, *faint* i didn't understand the questions. just half an hour before e test, i went to look for Meng.. *laugh* then i read her notes. i flipped to this page on steroids and asked if there was a need to memorize that really long name on the page.. *recalls* think it was.. cyclopentanohydropenanthrene *wince* yeah. that was it. its a miracle i can remember it now.. prolly will forget it tomorrow tho. she said it may be impt. so i memorized it. turned out we didn't need it.

i made the mistake of looking at the structured questions first. *groan* the last qns required us to draw this.. thing. called.. *recalls* (alpha)-D-furanose-(2.4)-(beta)-D-pyranose.. or sumthing like that. all i know is that Furanose is a 5 carbon membered ring, while the pyranose is a 6 member ring.. so i just drew 2 shapes.. didn't know how to link them tho. i figured they weren't ketones.. coz ketones have a -ul- inserted somewhere. anyway, that sucked. and the other structured qns was weird too. it started off with a " the PCR machine is broken".. blah blah.. state how u would amplify the following sequence 5'-(something..)-3'.. .. i started with a " first, u get someone to fix the PCR machine..." *blink* guess that wasn't too smart of me. but i was really irritated by the time i got to that question. i mean.. *rolls eyes* if the damn machine is broken, fix it! its not MY fault the damn contraption decided to go on strike.. *mutter*

the first question i read was that structured qns asking us to draw some ridiculous sugar.. after reading that, i spent about ten minutes cursing prof swarmi.. muttering under my breath and all.. i stopped cursing only becoz the girl sitting next to me was giving me puzzled looks. the mcq was almost as bad.. i had no idea what he wanted.. thank goodness, i wasn't the only one who didn't understand him.

*sigh* guess i should end here.. *yawns* have to d/l somemore animations for my incredimail..

*exasperated sigh* alrite, alrite, i know i haven't been posting.. *wrinkles nose* have been very very busy.. i still have the biochem test tomorrow.. so far i've finished the lipids.. still have carboh and nucleic acids to complete.. i dont think i will be posting much.. not until e exams are over... i think. *screws face up* we'll see how it goes. i dont have much of a life anyhow so it shouldnt really matter..

glenn and i were at the playground yesterday.. *grin* had LOTS of fun... *bounces up and down* we went on the swing, then we played the round-about.. erm.. i almost flew off the thing.. *laugh* and after that we had to sit down on the ground coz we couldnt walk straight and we felt like throwing up.. but yeah, it was fun.. *grin*

*mutter* finally found out the time and venues for my exam papers.. must update me calendar later..

i got bored studying today, so jen and i spent abt half an hour sending stupid wav files to ppl we know.. we sent irene a file where we recorded our now out-of-pitch, and horrible sounding rendition of some christmas carol.. and we sent a crap file to melvin, and to ralph of course.. oh wait.. *recalls* we recorded one for ralph, but we didn't send it.. coz we were in a rush to go elsewhere.. dont know if melvin got e file tho.. think it was being sent halfway when we d/ced. oh well *shrug* doesn't matter

ohhh.. and i almost forgot.. irene and i bought jen the erm.. *cough* sexiest thong.. *grin* its pink and black and has ribbons at the side.. held together by ribbons i mean.. *laugh* kinky. ~rene chose it mind u, not me..haha.. happy bdae in advance jen.. wear it next time we go out.. make sure u let the ribbons hang out hor.. must show abit mah.. *snicker* actually, it borders on being sleazy.. *laugh* but erm.. jen, buy a matching top thing and erm.. have fun with it *hums*

*panic* my CM1101 test is tomorrow! and i've been stuck with transcription and translation for DAYS.. decided to move onto population genetics, and i'm abt to finish that one.. but i dont understand a single thing abt genetic epidemiology and i think i'm going to flunk the tests sooooo bad. i promised myself to start on the molecular orbital theory at 3 pm.. have 45 mins left on pop gen, then after MO theory i can move back to the dreaded "trans-es" but for the life of me, those 2 topics just dont go down at all.. i read them like yesterday, only to find that i've forgotten everything this morning.. *whine* and i think i may have forgotten DNA replication, which i studied 3 days back. *sniff* and i haven't even started on my carboh and lipids and viruses and proteins.. but that one is all on fri so i shall have to settle my cm1101 and lsm1102 ones first.
