Listening to: Nothing

Batam was fantastic. Well.. the resort we stayed in was fantastic, at least. We didnt venture out of the resort.. the staff were really friendly and often went out of their way to assist us and answered many silly questions with regards to transport to town, bills, nearby entertainment etc.

We arrived at Batam early in the morning (think 9am) and checked in early. I was glad they didnt make us wait until 12pm for check in.

Anyway, we got the honeymoon suite. The room had a very Jap feel to it. Low tables, low bed, straw carpeting.. fresh flowers on the bed.. the sitting room was very jappy as well. What got me jumping up and down in excitement was the japanese-styled stone tub (big enough for 3) on the balcony... I'll provide pictures when I get home.. we spent alot of time in the tub.

I tried a hand at archery. Arrows didn't even REACH the target. They would travel like half the distance to the target then fall pathetically to the floor. Mel's however... flew PAST the target and hit the walls behind =/

The candlelight dinner was fantastic! We had a special table right by the pool and a waiter assigned to us. The food was lovely too. There was a salad, some seafood or lobster-y soup, main course was Tuna (very nicely done) and dessert was cut fruits in a hollowed our pineapple, topped up with ice cream, whipped cream and chocolate *yum* and we had wine, of course.

We went for the spa the next day....

the spa.. oh the spa.. fantastic.

Will include pictures when possible.

see ya.
