It's been a busybusy weekend!

Lunch with Irene, Jen and our SOs was highly enjoyable. Catching up was lovely and I was sad to see 3 hour lunch end! I had planned to include more details on the lunch itself, but.. I'm blogging at work and currently, all I have in my head is 'werk werk werk' and 'dedlines'. It's nice to see my friends so.. happy with life *beams* We've all grown up somehow but I daresay - at least 50% of our habits remained the same.

All in all - we need to meet up more often, please. I have not had such a good time for ages. Take also into consideration that I don't have THAT many friends to start with.

After lunch/dessert, Melvin and I went to walk around abit. We explored the esplanade. I say 'explored' because Melvin has not had the opportunity to walk inside after all this time. Granted he came back to SG only 6 months ago.. but still.

I bought very expensive/overpriced cookies at the Cookie Museum. $35 for a fracking tin.

We then had hot chocolate at Max Brennar (Branner?). It was excruciatingly sweet and I will never order one mug of hot choco to myself ever again. Left half a mug there and I don't want to see chocolate for the next few months.

Conclusion: Chocolate is meant to be taken in small doses. Large doses will cause nausea, bloatedness and likely, diabetes.

Melvin and I then went to Outback Steakhouse for our 7th Anniversary and stuffed ourshelves silly. I think we ordered enough food for three or four. It was a good meal all in all, despite the inexperienced waiter in charge of our table.

We wanted to catch a movie after lunch but had to rush back to bring Genie to class :(
Genie gave me a heartattack when she broke free midway during class. It was open ground, I told her to stay and walked a few metres away from her - then she ran. Melvin managed to step on her leash, but her collar snapped..

so there she was running with no leash/collar, creating havoc in class. The other owners tried to catch her but honestly, you can't outrun a dog like Genie >.> Plus after that.. all the dogs tried to chase her around..

In the end I squatted down, waved a bag of treats and called her name "Genieeeeeee" - then she ran right into my arms.

All good - no one lost their dogs.

But hell. I was so damn embarassed that her breaking free COULD have caused the other dogs to run.. if someone else lost their dog because of that, I swear I'd rather die on the spot.
